The Oeuvre series centres on a dressing table and mirrors, objects Bec has long associated with femininity and the rituals of womanhood. She remembers watching her mother and grandmother at their dressing tables and being drawn to the celebration of femininity these objects seemed to hold. Approaching twenty years of practice, Bec returns to the typology through reduction, paring it back to essential form. Oeuvre reflects both a body of work and an enduring exploration of femininity.
